We finally arrived at Champoeg State Park in Oregon – our first longer stay since the Badlands. It was a long haul to get there, but we made it!
When it comes to State Parks, Oregon really knows how to do it right. The sites at Champoeg were full hookups and there was a ton of space for us to spread out. We stayed in site A-40 and had the added benefit of open space behind us which made the entire area just feel huge. Our time at Champoeg wasn’t really about activities or finding things to do. We were here to visit friends, so spending time with them and catching up was our only priority. Honestly, you can tell that we achieved that goal because we didn’t even take a lot of pictures.
We talked, we laughed, we ate, we played at the awesome playground and we sat around the bonfire. It was everything we had hoped it would be.
